More information

The assessment kit for cognitive development “Imitation. Level 1” is designed for children who are developing foundational imitation skills. Play-based assessment using familiar objects and simple tasks helps determine whether a child imitates adult actions with objects, copies movements in front of a mirror, and is able to reproduce basic graphic elements based on a model, as well as whether the child recognises the adult as a reference for action. Based on the results, a specialist can identify the child’s strengths, determine areas requiring support, and provide clear recommendations for parents and educators on developing imitation skills as a key mechanism for further learning.

The kit is suitable for early childhood settings, toddler and preschool groups, inclusive and special education classrooms, and psychological and educational support centres. It helps establish a unified and consistent approach to assessing imitation skills, saves specialist time with ready-to-use materials and checklists, presents assessment results clearly for parents, and reinforces a professional, systematic approach to evaluating and supporting a child’s cognitive development.

What our clients are saying about us.

Working with UNOWA was a turning point for our university. Their expert-led training in ABA, ADOS-2 and MIKKO reshaped how we think, teach, and prepare inclusive educators. The model inclusion classroom they equipped has become a living lab, a space where theory becomes hands-on skill. This partnership didn’t just support a project. It laid the foundation for a more humane, modern and inclusive education system in Kazakhstan.

Thanks to UNOWA’s innovative approach and professional guidance, we’ve redefined how we prepare future educators. The MIKKO training and inclusion lab brought international best practices to our university, not just as theory, but as living, hands-on tools that inspire confidence and real change.

Thanks to our partnership with UNOWA, even schools in Armenia’s most remote regions now have access to fully equipped science and technology labs. Nearly half of the country’s schools have been modernized, bringing equal learning conditions to every student, no matter where they live.
