Safety

• Move the model only by its stand, slowly and without jerking, after checking that the route is free of thresholds, cables and steps — a tall model on roller supports loses balance easily.
• Do not lean on the model, hang objects on it or pull it by the limbs or the skull.
• Remove and refit the limbs and the calvarium with both hands while holding the model by the stand.
• Watch your fingers when flexing the joints and fitting the detachable parts — the connections can pinch.
• Do not leave the model on a sloping surface, on escape routes or near doors; after moving it, check that all roller supports rest on the floor.
• Students work with the model under the supervision of a teacher.

Setting Up

• After unpacking, remove the transport fasteners and check that all parts are present: the skeleton, the detachable upper and lower limbs, the stand with roller supports and the chart.
• Assemble the stand and mount the model on it vertically. Assembly is done by two people: one holds the model, the other tightens the connections.
• Place the model on a firm level floor so that the stand rests evenly on all roller supports; on soft flooring the rollers run unevenly.
• Check the fastenings: the skull is held firmly in the upper joint, the limbs sit tightly in their sockets without play, the calvarium seats without skew. Tighten the threaded connections of the stand — the model must not rock at a light touch.
• Position the model so that it is visible from every workplace and does not block passageways. Mount the chart on the wall or on a display panel next to it.

Demonstration

• Run the demonstration by matching a bone on the model with its label on the chart; the anatomical names on the chart are given in Ukrainian, so the model and the chart are used together.
• To examine individual bones, detach a limb: support it from underneath, release the joint without twisting and lay it on the table away from the edge. The skull is removed the same way.
• Lift the calvarium straight upward, without skew or force — this opens the cranial cavity and the air sinuses. Open the lower jaw to its natural position, not past the stop.
• The movable joints show flexion, extension and rotation of the limbs within their natural limits. Do not force a joint past the point where it moves freely.
• After the demonstration, return all detachable parts to their places, bring the model back upright and check the connections before rolling it away for storage.

Maintenance

• Wipe the model with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Polyvinyl chloride does not tolerate alcohol-based, solvent or abrasive cleaners — they take the colour and texture off the surface and rub out the labels on the bones. Wipe the labelled areas with particular care, without pressing.
• Periodically inspect and tighten the threaded connections of the stand, check for play in the limb sockets and check the condition of the roller supports.
• Clean threads and hair off the rollers: a support jamming during a move is the most common cause of the model tipping over.

• Store the model assembled and upright on its stand, protected from direct sunlight and heating appliances, covered against dust. Keep the chart flat or rolled with the printed side outward.

Warranty and Compliance

• Defect repair and replacement of defective parts or equipment covered by the warranty for three years; spare parts and consumables available for five years.
• The product meets the general product safety requirements of European Union legislation. It is not electrical or electronic equipment, so the WEEE marking does not apply to it.
