The assessment kit for cognitive development “Following Instructions. Level 2” is designed for in-depth assessment of receptive language and auditory attention in children. The tasks are structured to assess the child’s ability to retain and execute a three-step action sequence, navigate more complex spatial relationships (“in front of,” “behind,” “between”), and demonstrate cognitive flexibility when responding to non-standard (“absurd”) instructions. Based on the results, the specialist can determine the child’s auditory–verbal memory capacity, the level of grammatical language development, and the ability to regulate activity voluntarily, as well as identify the child’s zone of proximal development.
The kit is suitable for school readiness groups, primary, inclusive, and special education classrooms, as well as psychological and educational support centres. It provides a standardised approach to assessment, allows specialists to quickly prepare the testing environment, and helps parents clearly understand how accurately their child perceives complex verbal constructions and manages attention.
