Working Principle

The wireless motion sensor consists of a transmitter module and a receiver module. The transmitter module is powered by a lithium battery, while the receiver module is connected to a data acquisition device. During measurement, the transmitter simultaneously emits an infrared pulse and an ultrasonic pulse (i.e., a very short burst of infrared light and ultrasonic waves) toward the receiver. The receiver starts timing upon receiving the infrared pulse and stops timing upon receiving the ultrasonic pulse. The microprocessor inside the receiver calculates the distance between the transmitter and receiver based on the time difference between the two pulses and the speed of sound in air (the ultrasonic propagation speed is 324 m/s). The propagation time of infrared light can be neglected, as its speed is equal to the speed of light.

Typical Applications

The wireless digital motion sensor is a high-precision, short-range linear sensor that uses ultrasonic waves to measure position. It is suitable for studying uniform and uniformly accelerated linear motion, free-fall motion, spring oscillators, and other related experiments.

Note

This product is intended for educational use only and is not suitable for industrial, medical, research, or commercial applications.

Usage Tips

  1. The wireless digital motion sensor consists of an ultrasonic receiver module and a transmitter module. During use, connect the receiver module to the data acquisition device while fixing the transmitter module to the moving object (or using it as the moving object). Turn on the switch at the back of the transmitter module to begin measurement.
  2. After use, turn off the switch on the displacement sensor's transmitter module. When using the transmitter module as a free-falling object, place a shock-absorbing recovery device to prevent damage to the sensor.

What our clients are saying about us.

Working with UNOWA was a turning point for our university. Their expert-led training in ABA, ADOS-2 and MIKKO reshaped how we think, teach, and prepare inclusive educators. The model inclusion classroom they equipped has become a living lab, a space where theory becomes hands-on skill. This partnership didn’t just support a project. It laid the foundation for a more humane, modern and inclusive education system in Kazakhstan.
