A mobile educational robot on four omnidirectional wheels for studying autonomous driving algorithms, navigation and the interaction of mobile robots with their surroundings. Together with a training manipulator and the marked mat it forms a mobile manipulation complex for the school STEM laboratory, for students from 10 years old under a teacher's supervision.

AI algorithms of the platform
  • Object recognition: the end-effector camera recognises and sorts objects on the marked field
  • Line and road marking following: the chassis camera holds the platform in the lane by the centre line and reads pedestrian crossings
  • Road sign recognition: the control program changes the behaviour of the platform according to the recognised sign — slowing down, stopping before a crossing, turning onto the required section
  • On-camera model: a recognition model trained with an object detection algorithm is embedded directly in the chassis camera; images and trained models are stored on a memory card
