Safety
  • Use the model only for the purpose described in its documentation; protect it from impacts, falls and excessive mechanical load.
  • Do not expose the model to moisture, direct sunlight or heating appliances.
  • Carry the model only by its base, holding it with both hands; do not pick it up by the head, the neck or individual organs.
  • Remove and refit the organs without force: a part that will not seat needs to be repositioned, not pressed.
  • Keep all detachable parts together with the model — losing even one part makes the set incomplete and the corresponding organ system impossible to demonstrate.
  • Do not leave the small parts (eyeball, spinal nerve, foetus) unattended where younger children can reach them.
  • Students work with the model under the supervision of a teacher.
Setting Up
  • After unpacking, stand the torso on its base on a level horizontal table, clear of walkways. The base must hold the torso steady, without rocking.
  • Check the set against the chart: no part missing, and no cracks, chips or worn colouring on any of them. Organs assembled from several parts (lungs, heart, stomach, intestine, reproductive organs) are checked for sound connections — they must separate and join by hand, without tools.
  • Before the demonstration, take off the organs you are going to show and lay them out on the table on a light-coloured cloth in the order of removal. This speeds up reassembly and prevents small parts from being lost.
  • Position the model so that light falls into the open cavity of the torso from the front: deep in the thoracic and abdominal cavities the parts are hard to read under side lighting, and the natural colouring loses its distinguishing value.
Demonstration and Reassembly
  • Dismantle the model from top to bottom and from front to back: first the female chest plate, then the front organs of the thoracic cavity, then the abdominal organs, and last the ones lying deepest.
  • Take out each organ with the whole palm rather than by its projections, moving it along the axis of its socket without skew. Leave the vacated place empty until the end of the demonstration — this keeps the picture of the relative position of the organs visible.
  • Separate multi-part organs after taking them out of the torso, holding them over the table. Lay the halves side by side, cut surface upward, so that the internal structure is visible.
  • Show the head, the brain and the eyeball separately: the brain is taken out of the cranial cavity and the eyeball out of the orbit. These are the smallest parts, so place them in the middle of the table, not at its edge.
  • Reassemble in reverse order against the chart: join each organ into a whole first, then seat it fully in its socket. After reassembly, check that no part is left on the table. The front wall must seat without force — if it does not, an organ inside has been fitted incorrectly.
Maintenance
  • Clean the model and the detachable parts with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water and a neutral detergent, then wipe dry. Alcohol, acetone, solvents and abrasives are prohibited — they dissolve the colouring and dull the plastic surface.
  • Periodically check the set against the chart and the condition of the joints of the assembled organs. Loose joints that no longer hold an organ in its socket, and parts with cracks, are recorded in the classroom inventory documents.

  • Relative humidity: 40% to 60%
  • Atmospheric pressure: 84 to 107 kPa
  • Store the model assembled on its base, in a cabinet at room temperature and moderate humidity, protected from dust and direct sunlight. Prolonged heating next to a radiator or in the sun warps the plastic and changes the colour of the parts. Parts that are not fitted into the torso are stored together with the model in its original packaging.
Warranty and Compliance
  • Defect repair and replacement of defective parts or equipment covered by the warranty for three years; spare parts and consumables available for five years.
  • The product meets the general product safety requirements of European Union legislation. It is not electrical or electronic equipment, so the WEEE marking does not apply to it.
