Additional Information

Preparation for Work
  • Unpack the product, remove the transport inserts and rinse the boiling chamber and the receiving vessel with clean water
  • Place the appliance on a level heat-resistant surface near a socket, leaving free air circulation around the condenser unit
  • Run one full distillation cycle before the first use and pour the resulting water away - this removes production residues
Operation
  • Fill the boiling chamber with tap or pre-filtered water to the maximum level mark, without exceeding it
  • Fit the condenser unit, place the receiving vessel under the outlet pipe and connect the product to the socket
  • Switch the appliance on; distillate appears at the outlet after the water boils, and the output reaches its rated value in about 10-15 minutes
  • After the cycle switch the appliance off, disconnect it from the socket, let it cool and drain the remaining water from the boiling chamber
  • Store the distilled water in a clean closed vessel of glass or food-grade polymer
Operating Conditions
  • Air temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C
  • Relative humidity: 40 % to 60 %
  • Atmospheric pressure: 84 to 107 kPa (630-800 mm Hg)
Safety
  • Connect the product only to a power source with the voltage, frequency and rated parameters stated on the product rating plate
  • Keep close supervision when the product is used by students or works near them, and never leave it switched on unattended
  • Do not use the product with a damaged cord or plug, after it has been dropped or with any sign of damage
  • Do not immerse the product or the cord in liquid and do not expose them to moisture
  • Switch the appliance off and unplug it when not in use and before cleaning, holding the plug rather than the cord
  • Do not switch the product on without water in the boiling chamber - dry running destroys the heating element
  • Do not open the lid or remove the condenser unit during operation and until the appliance has cooled: boiling water and steam under pressure are inside
  • Install the product on a heat-resistant horizontal surface, 20 cm away from walls, furniture and combustible materials
  • Do not carry the product with hot water inside; drain the residue only after full cooling
  • Provide free drainage of the distillate into a receiving vessel of adequate volume
Maintenance
  • Switch the appliance off, unplug it and let it cool completely before cleaning
  • Remove scale from the boiling chamber after every 8-10 hours of operation: fill with a citric acid solution as directed by the agent's instructions, let it stand, drain and rinse the chamber twice with clean water. Scale reduces output and overheats the heating element
  • Wipe outer surfaces with a soft damp cloth; do not immerse the product in water and do not use abrasives
  • Inspect the power cord and plug regularly; operation is prohibited until a damaged cord is replaced at an authorised service centre
Storage and Transport
  • Store in a dry, clean, ventilated room at +5 °C to +40 °C and relative humidity of 60 % without condensation, protected from direct sunlight, moisture, dust and heat sources
  • Keep the air in the storage room free of impurities that cause corrosion of metals
  • During transport the packed product is secured against movement, and the packaging is protected from precipitation and impact
Warranty and Disposal
  • Warranty: remedy of defects and replacement of defective parts or of the equipment for three (3) years; availability of spare parts and consumables for five (5) years
  • Disposal: WEEE marking - not to be disposed of with unsorted household waste; hand the product over to a separate collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment. Metal parts are recycled as scrap metal, electronic components go to specialised processing
